Still remember 3 years ago when
we brought our son for observation again in a new place, namely a growing
flower child clinic in another town. At that time my son is 3.5 years old.
Behold, I am with a psychologist and they instantly shared his observation for
approximately 1.5 hours. The Diagnosis is done through observation, question
form, and tests. The psychologist also ask questions to measure child
development compared with corresponding to seusiamulai from birth up to the age
of now.
" PDD-NOS" |
Characteristics of children with
PDD-NOS is apparently not every child showed the same question mark. However,
there are two main characteristics of this disorder i.e. social interaction
difficulties and difficulties in two-way communication. The main characteristics
of these turned out to be exactly that plagued my child at this time. Although
PDD-NOS is considered milder than autism's characteristic, it is actually not
completely it is always true.
When our children began to attend
school, there is a desire to play with her classmates, but every time he
wants somthing then she immediately pulls his hand for the intention of
asking for help, because he's still a difficulty in terms of communication.
Besides the children with PDD-NOS has trouble reading facial expressions and
with regard to the feelings of others. They may not know how to respond when
someone laugh or cry.
At the age of 1 year to 3 years
if your child his or her communication abilities can be said one sign of
PDD-NOS. While the age of under 1 year old baby with PDD-NOS are no babling or
raving, they don't talk at the age where simple words began to grow like normal
babies in General. Some characteristics of the language patterns of repeated or
spoken word language is stiff, rigid, language development and non verbal
communication is lacking. Common of characteristic of
PDD-NOS is a disorder trouble capturing the difference between pronouns,
especially between you and I while chatting. Until now our son is 7 year old
experienced many changes after he follows some therapy. So next article, I
will discuss about the care or treatment in child's PDD-NOS.
